IC 1396A: Elephant's Trunk

OSC color: 2.6 hours (154 * 60 seconds, but less then an hour during astro dark)
Equipment: C9.25, 0.63 reducer, ASI533 MC (IMX533), EQ6-R mount.

This is a dark nebula in front of an Hα emission nebula (IC 1396), similar to the horsehead. However, there is also a small reflection nebula hidden inside, which is often missed in narrowband images:
